SHEARING DAY 1st June 2015
If you ever wondered how we get that beautiful fleece off the alpacas why not come and see for yourself.......

11th Aug 2013
I had a very successful day at the Tullamore Show, I brought 3 alpacas and took home 3 first place rosettes. Galaxy, Jackson and Gemini did me proud and Jacksons behaviour in the ring was a huge improvement on June !  There was a great turnout at the show as usual and it was a very enjoyable day, that's the last show for this year...... Have to pick next years showteam from my cria now !!

16th June 2013

My year old medium fawn girl, Gemini, won her class, she is a beautiful girl and I'm looking forward to showing her at Tullamore in Aug.  My 10 month old boy, Jackson, was second in his class which I was very pleased with, his behaviour in the show ring was'nt great but hopefully he will improve before the Tullamore Show !!
We had a great competition and the weather co operated which is always a help !

I'll be competing at our National show on June 16th, its been held at the Louth County Agricultural Show in Bellurgan, just north of Dundalk. It will be  our largest show in the South to date as we have over 50 alpacas entered, so it promises to be a really good competition, with several new breeders competing for the first time.
I will be entering 3 of last years cria and Curious Casper who will compete in the adult male class.  I'm hoping for a nice dry day and looking forward to seeing everyone.

I'll be at Nobber Fair with a few of my alpacas this Sunday, May 19th, so come along and meet  Casper, Galxy and Jackson..... Bring your camera, alpacas are very photogenic !!

5th April 2013
I spent the day in St Annes Park in Raheny Dublin with 2 of my alpacas, they were being used in making the new Cadburys Chocolate ad. It was a very interesting day, its amazing how much work goes into a short ad !!!  The boys did me proud and were on their best behaviour all day and it was a very long day !!!  So expect to see Compo and Casper on a TV near you soon.....They'll be signing autographs at the Dundalk Show on June 16th !!!

I had a visit from Gerry Kelly from LMFM radio's Late Lunch yesterday.  He spent an hour or so with me and we walked through the paddocks and had a great chat about the alpacas.

I'm having my 3rd Open Day on Jan 27 and I'm really looking forward to it.
I'm having my second Open Day on Sept 16thso come along and meet my alpacas... starting at 12 and gong on til 5pm, relax with a tea or coffee and something sweet to nibble on.  I'll have alpaca yarn for sale and a few finished items as well.  Admission is E5 per car.  Don't forget your raincoat just in case !!!
My last cria of the year arrived on Monday 20th Aug, hes a lovely black boy, my first black alpaca,  he was up on his feet in no time.   His dad is Blackjack so I had to call him Jackson, suits him I think..
The Tullamore Show  on Aug 12th was a great success, we did'nt have as many alpacas competing as in previous years but the standard was very high.  Tim Hey came from the UK to judge and was impressed with the standard on the day, he did a great job and really engaged the public with his explanation of judging alpacas.

I had 2nd and 3rd in the adult male white/fawn class with Toft Barley and Mullagh Lane Curious Casper.  The class was won by Toft Snowleopard who I sold to Westwind Alpacas a few months ago.  Snowleopard went on to win Best Male and  then Show Champion so it was a great result for all involved.
