Mullagh Lane Alpacas was established in 2005 as the first alpaca breeder in Leinster. Located just outside Dromiskin Village in County Louth, its about 5 minutes from Exit 15 on the M1.
I've been a committee member of the Alpaca Association of Ireland for over 10 years now and I organise and run our National Show which takes place at The Louth Agricultural Show in June each year.
As a small breeder I know my alpacas as individuals so its important for me that I find the right animals for new owners and that both are happy with the arrangement ! To make this as smooth as possible I offer a full after sales service, helping new owners learn the needs of their alpacas and how to keep their alpacas healthy and happy. I intend to keep my herd small and focus on breeding for quality rather than quantity.
The Alpaca Association of Ireland was set up to foster ownership and welfare of alpacas in Ireland and across the world. It has created a network of breeders who support each other and provide invaluable advice to new alpaca owners. I would encourage anyone interested in buying alpacas to deal with members of the association as the benefit of after sales care is, in my opinion, vital to new owners, we were all in that position not so long ago....
